一、本要點依據「國立中正大學研究生學位授予辦法」訂定之。

I. These rules are hereby enacted pursuant to the Graduate Degree Conferral Rules of National Chung Cheng University.

二、本所博士班研究生經博士學位候選人資格考試及格,並修畢規定之學分數者,得申請學位考試。

II. Students who have received the doctoral candidacy and completed required course credits are eligible for application for Ph.D. Degree Exam.

三、博士班研究生必須於博士學位考試二個月前,檢具下列資料向本所申請組成博士學位考試委員會:

 1.申請表

2.博士候選人資格考試通過之證明

3.提交一篇經過正式審查通過的論文,合著論文須檢附為第一作者且貢獻度佔60%以上之證明。

III. Ph.D. candidates are required to apply for the Ph.D. Degree Exam Committee two months before the practice of Ph.D. Degree Exam with required documents as follows:

    1. Application(s)

    2. Certificate of Ph.D. candidacy

    3. Publication: one formal-reviewed article. If the article is co-published with others, the applicant shall prove himself/ herself as the first author with efforts of contribution over 60 %.

四、博士學位考試委員會之組成依下列規定辦理:

IV. The organization of the Ph.D. Degree Exam Committee is enacted as the following regulations:

    (一)學位考試委員由五至九人組成,其中

所外委員至少一人。

    1. The committee shall include 5 to 9 members. At least one member shall come

      from any institutes outside the Institute of Linguistics, CCU.

  (二)論文指導教授應具教授或副教授或同等職位以上資格者。

    2. Ph.D. dissertation advisor shall meet the qualification as being a full professor or associate professor or holding an equivalency of aforementioned positions.

  (三)其他學位考試委員須具下列資格之一:

   3. The outside readers in the Ph.D. Degree Exam Committee shall meet the

      following qualifications:

1.曾任教授者。

      (1) Having had the position as full professor

2.擔任中央研究院院士或曾任中央研究院研究員者。

      (2) Having been a searcher or Academician in Academia Sinica

       3.曾任副教授或擔任中央研究院副研究員,在學術上卓有成就者。

      (3) Having been an associate researcher in Academia Sinica or associate

         professor and had significant contribution in academics.

      4.獲有博士學位,在學術上卓有成就者。

      (4) Having received a Ph.D. Degree and had significant contribution in

         academics

五、學位考試委員會委員由校長遴聘之。

V. The Committee member of the Ph.D. Degree Exam Committee shall be appointed by the President of National Chung Cheng University

六、學位考試申請,應於本校規定之每學期學位考試申請截止日三日前檢具下列資料向本所提出申請:

VI. The required documents for Ph.D. Degree Exam are as follows,

  (一)申請書

    (二)歷年成績單一份

  (三)學位考試同意書

   (四)考試委員名冊

    (五)本所博士學位考試召集人同意書

  1. Application(s)
  2. Transcript for all semesters
  3. The consent for doctoral dissertation and oral defense
  4. The register of Committee members
  5. The consent of the chairman/convener for doctoral dissertation and oral defense

    提出申請二週後,始得舉行學位考試。

After two weeks of submitting the applications, students may take the Ph.D. Degree Exam.

七、學位考試成績以七十分為及格,一百分為滿分,以出席委員評定分數之平均分數決定之。有三分之一以上委員評定不及格者,以不及格論,評定以一次為限。

VII. The minimum grading scores of the Degree Exam is 70 out of 100 as the average scores of all committee members attending in the Degree Exam. The grading scores show fail of the exam if one third of the Committee members grade the scores below 70 out of 100. The grading procedure shall be limited to one time.

八、學位考試成績不及格者,可於其修業年限內,於次學期或次學年重考,重考以一次為限。重考仍不及格者,予以退學。

VIII. Students who fail the Ph.D. Degree Exam are allowed to apply for a second chance of exam within the years of study. Students shall take the re-exam in the next semester or next school year. The re-exam shall be held for only one time. Students who fail the re-exam shall be withdrawn from school.

九、前述規定若有未盡事宜,悉依本校「研究生學位授予辦法」規定辦理。

IX.  Any rules or regulations unmentioned herein shall follow the Graduate Degree Conferral Rules of National Chung Cheng University.                                                                              

十、本要點經所務會議通過後,報教務處核備後實施,修正時亦同。

X. The rules and regulations stated in this document shall be administered after they are approved by Committee of Institute Affairs and Office of Academic Affairs. Any revision to this guideline must follow the same procedures.
